Duplex Steel 2205 Butt Weld Pipe Fittings are a ferritic and austenitic alloy due to the presence of chromium and nickel. It is used in applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. This grade was developed after many improvements were made to Duplex Steel S31803, and it has more corrosion resistance than the latter. This alloy has lower heat resistance than an alloy of stainless steel grade. It becomes brittle at a high temperature of 300°C. At a low temperature of -50°C, the alloy undergoes embrittlement.
